Auto Response Campaigns Refinements
December 16, 2025

Summary

You can now mix and match, or exclude, any custom listing groups when setting up your Intelligent Auto Response campaigns.

Background

Previously, Intelligent Auto Response campaigns allowed users to target reviews based on the selection of a single custom group. While useful, this singular selection type made it difficult to build nuanced response logic or it required the added work-around of building a unique group excluding specific locations for each campaign to compliment desired user workflows. As customer needs evolved and more sophisticated campaign rules became essential for multi-location brands, we prioritized extending group logic in campaign creation.

Details

This release introduces two distinct enhancements regarding campaign targeting logic for custom groups within Intelligent Auto Response.

Combine Custom Groups: Users can now define campaigns that respond to reviews with specific criteria by selecting several groups (e.g., “Group A and Group B”). This expands the possibilities for overarching inclusion of multiple groups towards the goals of an existing or newly created reputation management auto response campaign.

Exclude Custom Groups: Users can now also exclude specific custom groups from campaign logic (e.g., respond to all reviews except those found in “Group C”).

These options appear directly in the campaign rule builder alongside existing criteria like stars ratings, keywords, and locations making it easier to create more refined, relevant, and powerful campaigns without workarounds. As a result, brands gain more control over automated responses, reducing noise, improving relevance, and tailoring behavior to complex business logic.

What's Next

We working on an “AI Settings Sandbox” Introduce an interactive sandbox where users can experiment with different sets of brand and location background details, along with custom tone or voice settings and prompts. Clients will be given a safe space to explore how changes in their AI agent instructions with affect their review response output quality before they publish campaigns.
