With expanded data-field controls, enhanced filtering, and a "first-detected" timestamp, RealityCheck™ now lets brands pinpoint when listing data went wrong, and quickly filter, track, and fix inaccuracies across all locations.
Over the past month, many brands (even well-established ones) have experienced a sharp increase in unwanted edits and data changes on their Google Business Profile (GBP) listings. To help combat this growing problem, LocalClarity is focusing on a continuous build out of controllable fields and functionality. Each of the updates included in this release were requested by our enterprise partners, a selection of world-class brands helping to set the development roadmap.
All clients with active RealityCheck™ functionality will see the following enhancements described below.
"First Detected" Field: This data point will highlight the very first date and time wherein this data discrepancy was identified allowing clients to track how long their inconsistencies have persisted.
Individual Attribute Controls: Google's API lists attribute data as a single block or what's referred to as a CLOB. This means that when it came through RealityCheck™, you could only accept or reject the full block of attributes and we not empowered to select or reject specific attributes within the block. We have added new functionality to solve this pain point so users are able to select and refine the correct attributes for their listings on a granular basis.
Listing Source Filters: To provide even further visibility for validation, we have included filters for listing sources, allowing you to filter your view to see only your information within Google Authorized and Google Indexed connections. Coming soon is the ability to filter by Apple Maps, Bing, Facebook, and Yelp source data.
Clearing Records: This action means you are removing the stored data value from the system, which returns the field to a blank or default state. Clearing a record is how you “zero out” an erroneous or corrupted field so that your next publish cycle starts fresh and removes stale data across all listings.
We continue to focus listing accuracy with planning updates for 150+ lodging attributes, multiple listing sources, location food menus, and complex service offerings.
