The Sentiment Analysis Scan offers retroactive scans, tagging topics, scoring sentiments of historic reviews
The first thing you'll see when you go into Settings > Review Management is that we have extended the sections into three tabs to hold all of the control settings. Toggling over to the furthest right you will find the Sentiment Analysis tab.
Options for turning on review comment topic identification and sentiment scoring work on a go forward basis. However users can now go back, with the inclusion of a retroactive Sentiment Analysis Scan.

This feature allows users to trigger a Retroactive Sentiment Analysis Scan on their repository of past reviews. When triggering the scan, the system will run through each review and auto-tag identified topics from the reviews, assign sentiment scoring on a 5-point scale (extremely negative to extremely positive), and then tag any identified positive or negative emotions expressed. These identifications can then be accessed in downloaded reports for aggregation.
The platform can process about 1,500 reviews in about 20 minutes, possibly longer if we have multiple scans running concurrently. We recommend selecting the option to 'Notify when completed'.
Please contact the Client Success Team if you need to run a scan for more than 45,000 reviews so that we can work to batch the process effectively. Please allow us up to 24 hours to complete a historic sentiment analysis scan of that size.
Currently, if a scan is run across reviews that already have sentiment analysis, the process will skip over the review. In a future update, you'll have the power to provide custom instructions for topic clusters and the option to override existing sentiment scoring.
