Google Business Profiles in the United States can now add chat options by selecting texting and WhatsApp. Previously this option was only available in international regions outside of the US. Now users who live stateside.

1. Go to your Business Profile.
2. Click Edit profile and then Business information and then Contact.
3. To edit, click Chat and then Down arrow Down arrow.
4. In the drop down that opens, select either SMS or WhatsApp.
5. In the “Number” field, add a phone number that can receive text messages or your WhatsApp URL.
6. Click Save.

Customers can now contact you from your Business Profile. This can help you answer questions, tell your story about your business. and attract more customers.
